OUR LUCKY STARS SHINE IN 2023
We are so happy to report that despite the burdens faced by the veterinary community & the incredible demand for veterinary services, each of R LuckyStars has renewed their pledge of FREE S/Ns & other services for needy animals in 2023. This heart felt thank you goes to each!

IT’S FEB!! U KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!

We join w/others around the country & the world as we celebrate Feb 28 2023 as SPAY Day USA, SPAY Month, Feline Fix by Five Month Feline Fix by Five - United Spay Alliance & World Spay Day World Spay Day (hsvma.org). And we add a reminder for all “NJ-ites”: there’s a check off box on NJ’s 1040 to donate to NJ’s Animal Population Control Fund. Department of Health | Veterinary Public Health | Animal Population Control (nj.gov) The $ available always falls short. It’s also time for Valentines. Send 1 to your local shelter, favorite rescue or your town’s TNVR effort & direct your gift to S/N. (We thank “Mutts” for the unauthorized use of their image above!)

PARTNERS: PEEKSKILL POLICE & TNR!
Trap Neuter Return Program | Peekskill NY (cityofpeekskill.com) “In an effort to effectively & humanely control the community cat population, the City has successfully used the TNR method over the last 5 years. TNR benefits the cats & the neighborhood. Other approaches for feral cats just don’t work...How you can Help: Contact 914 (this NY # is on the website) if you are feeding any cats in the neighborhood or surrounding area...Please do not wait until you see kittens to call for help...Please be assured that no harm will come to the cats and there will be no retribution to the feeders as long as there is cooperation with the TNR method.” (Editorial: Obtaining public’s trust is crucial to success. Not easy. Policies can change w/Administra-tions. ACOs can be key to establishing that trust w/colony caregivers & community.)
