WHAT’S THE “SPUTER SHIRT”?
It’s a new “recovery garment”, aka the “Spay Neuter Shirt”, designed to replace the dreaded e-collar, reduce post op complications, increase compliance & reduce patient & owner stress. This patented post-op dressing is designed to protect tummy wounds from the patient & keep surgical site clean & protected. By applying a gentle pressure around the body, it reduces stress, while letting patient move freely. Open top design allows for a custom & secure fit & better air-flow vs a full body suit, reducing risk of overheating & promoting healing. Allows males & females to urinate w/o removing Shirt. Sizing based on length of patient. Meant for cats, dogs, & rabbits. Adjustments made via attached strings. Ask about a sample, new client packages, limited special pricing & other ways to give it a try.Toll-Free: 1-888-976-8696 www.VetMedWear.com
RURAL AREA VETERINARY SERVICES (RAVS)
RAVS is a non-profit program of community service & veterinary mentorship bringing FREE vet services (wellness, S/N, emergency surgery, infectious disease mgmt.) to underserved rural communities where poverty & geographic isolation make regular veterinary care inaccessible. Each year 6 RAVS staff members & >350 volunteers provide Free essential vet care for >8,000 animals. RAVS provides training & experience for hundreds of future veterinary professionals beyond what a classroom can provide. Since 2003, RAVS has treated more than 130,000 animals in need and delivered over $25 million in high quality no-cost veterinary services in remote communities where care is otherwise not available. For a 15 minute video of what volunteers can expect on a “typical” RAVS trip in which 50 volunteers & field staff meet in the Mid West to travel to remote Native American Reservation Communit-ies go to http://www.ruralareavet.org/ For more about the work of RAVS visit http://www.fundforanimals.org/rural-area-veterinary-services/about-ravs.html
